The Eager Beavers



The EAGER BEAVERS have re-formed after being absent from the local Rock and Roll/Rockabilly scene for eight years. They bring with them the same infectious foot-tapping authentic music from the past together with new numbers written by the lads themselves.

Popular with people of all ages EAGER BEAVERS features lead vocalist/guitarist Dave James with Stuart Bates on double bass and Byron Curry on drums. Since disbanding eight years ago the lads have been extremely busy, each continuing to write and play the music they were made for. Individually they have supported and played on the same bill as many Rock ‘n Roll /Rockabilly legends, including Little Richard, D J Fontana (Elvis Presley’s drummer), Bill Haley’s Comets, Buddy Holly’s Crickets, Gene Vincent’s Blue Caps, Billy Lee Riley, Bobby Cochran, Rip Masters, Albert Lea, to name but a few.

Already making a name for themselves the EAGER BEAVERS have started to enhance their reputation as a first class outfit, with praise being earned from such reputable venues as the Hard Rock Café in Birmingham.

Asked to comment on the lad’s recent performance there their response was ‘An absolutely brilliant band that really got things going. Can’t wait to have them back in again. That is if they don’t catapult to stardom before we can get to them’. Another comment was that the lads were ‘awesome!’ What better recommendations?
