Fujiwara

Fujiwara are a 4 piece band from Coventry, England, we have been together since late 2000/early 20001 and have played a number of gigs in venues like the Jailhouse, the Spencer, the Dog and Trumpet, The Carling Academy 2(birmingham), Edwards No8, and Durdham hall (Durdhambury Festival), the coliseum and the cross.

"Midlands Hardcore Heroes" -The Jailhouse-

Many people have said "fucking hell they're better than when they started" that was by far an obvious statement, anyone who saw us in the early days, and hasn't seen us since, we hope you would be in for a surprise.

When Fujiwara began it went through a series of names including erectile dysfunction, and twisted virtue, but eventually we found the odd name of Fujiwara Armbar, which is actually a Japanese wrestling move, but lately we have cut it down to Fujiwara because we prefer it and its easier to remember ... I think.

When fujiwara started off we had just started our instruments and we did a cover of basket case to get our timings together, after that we dropped the song because we then had grown to near enough hate it, and then we started off with our first song struggle which has gone through many changes, it originally had an arpeggio intro but now it is a single struck power chord intro, and it did not contain the original solo, but eventually we all improved on our instruments and developed the songs to the songs today.

We have recently adapted new styles of music into our songs, by taking new influences and combining them with our old ones to make our new songs have more variation.
