Pressure Pill
In 1986 a young Coventry band called Faceaway recorded several demo tracks produced by Neol Davies of The Selector. The demo won a midlands song-writing contest, which gave a showcase support at the Marquis in London as the prize. Faceaway continued to gig for a couple of years, but the band lost its momentum, and the guys went their separate ways.
Karl Bristow, the singer song-writer became a guitar maker with Patrick Eggle guitars, studied Music Business and Technology, and continued to perform with various cover bands. Brent Taylor (Percussion / Vocals) became a roadie for The Selector, and then moved to Israel for a while, before finally settling back in Coventry.
Darren Jones (Bass guitar / Vocals) went into engineering, but never lost his passion for music, rejoining the band in early 2007. After recruiting music degree student Johnny Ross (Keys / Guitar / Vocals), Pressure Pill was formed.
