Trailer

Trailer officially started in July 2004 and started gigging in September 2004. The band members are Myke Grimes, 21 (Guitar/Vocals/Programming), Patrick King, 21 (Bass Guitar) and Phil Aston, 23 (Drums/Percussion/Drum Machine).

The band was started by Myke and Phil and Paddy was drafted in on bass by Myke. For a brief time Trailer had a 2nd guitarist but it didn't work out so that was the end of that chapter. As a three piece Trailer came into its own, all three members are hard-working, dedicated and ambitious for the future ahead. Despite Myke studying a Music Tech degree in London and Patrick a Biology degree in Nottingham the band get together where possible to practice or play gigs with the target of playing 60 gigs this year.

The stratergy Trailer adapted to was to start in Coventry playing as often as possible and then eventually branch out further to visit as many places in the UK as possible. Holding Trailer back was not having a CD to be proud of to send to venues in the UK, having quickly established themselves as a passionate and exciting live band to watch getting it on record was not so easy as the first EP showed. With the Chaos Theory EP the lads should be visiting the four corners of the country ASAP.

The music is a mixture of everything each other listen to. Trailer is a rock band inspired by dance music, atmospherics and great tunes. Live Trailer leave people wondering how the 'wall of sound' is created with only 3 members in the band. The music is hard to describe so have a listen or even better come to a gig and witness a gig for yourself, you will not be left disapointed.

"ONE OF THE BEST STUDENT BANDS IN THE COUNTRY" - MEAN FIDDLER IN RELATION TO A STUDENT XMAS SHOWCASE AT THE GARAGE DEC 04

"This young band opened our STUDENT night at Christmas and we are delighted to welcome them back to downstairs for this MONDAY special event. Cool riffs and excellent musicianship mark out this band for great things." - MEAN FIDDLER, June 05

"And with local music fans abandoning Radio One in droves to listen to Kerrang FM, it's perhaps appropriate that The Phoenix, in Gosford Street, hosts a Kerrang sponsored night this Monday.

Headlining are energetic, melodic grungesters Keiko, supported by the intense screamo metal of Montana and Trailer, the new kids on the block giving Hobo Exile Hotel and Jesus Deluxe a nudge and telling them they're not going to get it all their own way in the world of atmospheric delay." - THE LIMIT (DAYLE CRUTCHLOW) FOR THE COVENTRY EVENING TELEGRAPH
