Being the generous chap i am i'm offering free recordings of live solo acoustic gigs.
It's a very basic service i'm offering and it depends on the spec of the venues mixing desk. I'm only really looking at recording solo acoustic performers i.e. one guitar and one vocal - Al Britten/Kristy stylie....

I did a recording at Malc Evans Ditch the TV last week (upstairs at The Maudsley) which went quite well... an example of the recordings can be found here:

For this gig i could only get the main mix from the desk (not individual outs for vox and guitar seperately) but even so i blended the feed from the desk with a stereo room mic recording and got a reasonably nice live recording with audience noise and some room ambience.

If you've got a gig coming up and the technical spec of the desk can provide me with outputs of some kind i'll give it a bash!

Edit: if the venue hasn't got a safe place to setup my gear (or there's too much beer flying around) then i'm not prepared to do it... oh and if the plugged in sound of your guitar is pants i won't be able to work miracles either.... (LOL)

It would be nice to do more complex multi-track recordings in a similar fashion to what Pete offers at the Cov Mint but i no longer have anything portable enough to drag along to gigs to do this type of thing! (and i don't really want to - it would take up too much of my free time mixing a whole band and like my photography i really like the more intimate gigs these days)

So, whether you want a recording for posterity, to review your performance or to put some live tracks on your websites/albums/EP's get in touch and we'll see if it's possible.

Coventry venues only at the moment

Regards
Chris
